    > “12 models agreed that humans simply go along with their group.”

That pretty much sums up my view of humanity these days.

And AI models just go with their programming. Like humans they may think they're making unbiased decisions but a lot of work has went into aligning them to give specific kinds of answers. We're all subject to biases based on what we were taught and how we want to be perceived.

    > Ask LLMs for their most controversial take on humanity

The LLMs did their job (except giving the same answer demonstrated their toxic homogeneity).

Remember when AI was extremely sycophantic (as opposed to now when, one might say, it’s mildly sycophantic)?

"We're lemmings who would rather agree with the group than seek truth or remain logically consistent in our thinking."

Given the training data (the internet), this is a logical conclusion.

Probably a case of dissident opinions of all shades not being put in the data too.

And they’re 100% right about the vast majority of people.

All it takes to understand this is a little knowledge of history and psychology.

Progress has always been driven by a tiny minority who refuse to be amoral sheep. Without them, we’d still be living in caves, bashing each other over the head with rocks.
