When "Safety Filter" isn't defined it's a very convenient response.

In this case it appears it's a "Safety of Meta's relationship with the Commander-in-Chief", it would seem. Nah, wind that back, it's more likely incompetence than malice, as per the old adage. It probably is some kind of filtering oversight, but it's still a bad look and more evidence of the arbitrary and difficult to predict/control nature of AI/LLMs.

It's also much more likely that Meta products will have much greater access to the Brazilian market if a U.S. friendly leader is elected. The alternative would push the alignment closer to using Chinese services. Brazil is kind of a battleground between Chinese and U.S. influence.

Not sure what greater access there is to have. Brazil is pretty much addicted to Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp. But you can be sure that any plans of distancing themselves from these networks will be discarded if they end up going with Flávio.

No, Meta, really? Who would have thought?

10% of their global income is from scam, In Poland reportedly 37%. Do you think they'll stop faking reality, and dividing and deceiving people when they make money out of that?
