This seems inhuman. Do we need to make it a public execution?
I don't think you would understand the consequence of murdering thirteen people as well if you just read about it. That message is conveyed more clearly with sound and video. It's an important message.
Incentives matter.
There's actually no evidence of the functional value of stuff like this.
Public executions don't seem to deter violent behavior in others and, if anything, actually produce more of it.
