    Comments on the article reflect this too, but... in October it starts getting dark at like 7 here in Austin. I'm writing this at 9:30 PM and it's been dark as hell for over an hour now. Even in the middle of summer when the days are longest, it gets dark at 9.

    "Visibility" being the reason Robotaxis stop at 10PM vs 11PM is complete bullshit. My guess is, these cars aren't autonomous, are being driven remotely, and the amount of passengers past 10PM just isn't worth it to pay tele-drivers to drive these ugly gold abominations around town. If someone can think of a different reason I'd love to hear it.

    Musk is dead wrong. Lidar and radar are needed on his vehicles, would be best if the FEDS dropped the hammer on him and said integrate it into your cars, or you are off the streets.

      Exactly, Why does he dislike lidar? Apparently because he wants his cars to emulate human intelligence using vision! . But I guess he ignores the human intelligence that has concludes to use lidar.
