While HTML4 geocities style website have a soft stop in my heart, this page absolutely feels like it was made by an LLM which makes it ironic in a way it was never intended to be I assume.

I genuinely have never seen these stupid bordered bubbles with gradient backgrounds and emojis-for-icons before LLMs, why are they obsessed with them? How did they get into the dataset???

It’s perfect that a Super Intelligent created the website

Correct terms is extra big ass intelligence.

Yeah, somehow whoever (or whatever) decided to build this, decided to use Tailwind for something that absolutely doesn't need a CSS library/framework, it'd be what, ~30 CSS rules to write? :P LLMs truly is the kings of bloat as it stands right now.

Say what you will about President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho -- at least he cared about the well-being of his country and sought out expert guidance to set things right.

      > President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho cared that his country was suffering.

      > He eagerly sought intelligent advice and let it change his mind. He was held to account by a vigorous legislature.

      > For us, today, Idiocracy might as well be The West Wing.

Some elements of Idiocracy are fiction.

It’s a utopia. If only we were headed in that direction.

I nominate Mike Judge as a modern day prophet!

        • Alive-in-2025 4 hours ago

I keep hoping he'll put out another movie, predicting the aftermath.

          • troupo 3 hours ago

He predicted it. In the movie. The cycle repeats.

      • wizardforhire 4 hours ago

Yeah we still haven’t figured out cryostasis

        • twobitshifter an hour ago

Unfortunately that was one of his few wrong predictions, that is would he so far in the future we’d need cryostasis to see it.

The funniest thing about the design is when I click the 'X' on ads to see if they close, but the button keeps moving. I feel like I’m literally chasing it like a mouse, I was laughing straight out :)). A correct depiction of the modern ad system.

    • trwired an hour ago

That was actually a thing back in the late 90s. There were ad popups that would do that, so the user couldn't close them.

    • zzgo 4 hours ago

I was reported to Child Protective Services for closing an ad. :(

He may have promoted Super Intelligence as part of a domain squatting scheme for his buddies.

The in-demand domains are Slovenian, just like the First Lady. What a funny coincidence!

        Laibach boosters strike again !

  • vektormemory an hour ago

Those close x's are exactly how the govt would make them, peak design...

  • maury91 2 hours ago

The close ad button has the class "right-1" and the code that tries to move it changes the left value, the result is that the button instead of moving resizes, defeating the purpose of the unclickable button joke

Amazingly, this doesn’t look like slop to me, unlike the slop articles and images I’m flooded with on the Web these days. The world of Idiocracy actually had some taste, unlike the timeline we’re on today.

If it doesn't look like slop to you, I might have some electrolytes to sell you for your plants.

OW! My balls! Brought to you by OpenAI (OpenSI?) dots

You know with enough compute and video generation resources now, you probably could make an entirely AI-slop 24x7 streaming channel of OW! My balls!

BaAs - Balls as a service.

One of the very few instances where I am willingly clicking on ads.

if telekinesis is a manifestation of intelligence then the extra big ass that just passed by is definitely intelligent

I also made a satire webpage but spent a lot of time getting it to look like a modern news website that most people don't even get its satire: https://gossip-glitch.considerthebean.xyz/

    • mixologic 5 hours ago

A modern news website would have thrown at least six dickovers in front of me before I can even get to the content.

      • altmanaltman 5 hours ago

Yeah but I'm not that inhuman even in satire
