I've completely rebuilt an internal command and control centre tool with Opus 5.5 over the past 20 hours, including getting it to do all the design. It's been basically perfect - right first time every time, clear in communicating, and not a single mention of smoking guns in load bearing seams.
I've been hearing that it was like this initially, and then suddenly the slop speak and gaslighting are back. It's like Anthropic deployed it without their "watermarking" and then layered it on. (Or at least people online are complaining about the sudden change in quality.)

Nope, I'm still hammering it now and it's exactly what you want out of it.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I don't even have a CLAUDE.md in this project, haven't needed one.
