The back office jobs aren't exactly something to fight for. These almost universally suck because they are the alternative to automation. Humans digging ditches by hand instead of hydraulic equipment. There has always been downward pressure on this area. No one wants to have a back office. It's a pure cost center.

You can discard almost every job like that. And with a lot of sectors plenty of western countries have.

The thing is when everything has moved or been outsourced or been given to AI the majority will not be left with the "fulfilling" jobs and which ones are is very arbitrary.

What jobs would be something to fight for and why?

None of those tasks described requires AI, so why weren’t they extinguished before?

It was cheaper then trying to automate.
