We're building the intelligence layer for physical risk: digital twins of individual homes, run through physics-informed AI World Models, to see exactly how a specific property will perform in a wildfire or hurricane — traditional models only guess at the neighborhood level. That precision lets us do what insurers historically couldn't: measure how much a new roof, cleared vegetation, or better siding actually cuts risk, then price coverage accordingly, turning mitigation into a real financial incentive instead of just advice.
We've scaled to ~$10B in insured assets in just two states in under a year. The interesting problems: ML surrogates that run physics simulations 1,000x+ faster without losing accuracy, structure-level digital twins built from imagery and property data at scale, and systems that reason across risk, cost, and homeowner tradeoffs — we're hiring across engineering and applied science.
When you look at the headers of major websites, you’ll see us. If it has to be performant, secure, scaled worldwide, and always-on, it uses Fastly.
We're a global edge cloud platform for performance and security, emphasizing open standards, sustainable engineering, and resilience-by-design.
We're hiring across compute, security, platform engineering, network and edge protocols, release engineering, network architecture, client services engineering, and more.
Onsite preferred, but remote candidates with a strong fit are welcome!
Rather than building walled gardens, we co-founded the Bytecode Alliance, heavily upstream our work to open standards, actively author IETF drafts, and power the global infrastructure for open-source Python, Rust, Ruby, OpenStreetMap, and much more.
* The Stack: Rust, C/C++, Go, Javascript, Typescript, WebAssembly (Wasm/WASI), Wasmtime, Cranelift, eBPF/XDP, QUIC, HTTP, TLS, TCP, Varnish/VCL, Linux kernel internals, distributed systems, professional services.

We make robots that autonomously construct buildings, starting with bricklaying.
There's a lot of vapourware in robotics, but we're deploying robots across multiple concurrent sites today - and generating revenue. In the last couple of months, our robots have built affordable social housing, health care living units, canal walls in the historic city centre of Amsterdam, and a youth sports centre. Help us to build things that matter in the long run.
We're looking for experienced software engineers for many roles. You can help us solve problems like:
- Data sync and analytics queries across a fleet of robots (that can be offline for hours at a time)
- Modelling buildings in code and finding the right UI for operators to edit them
- Designing systems for robots to drive safely and fully autonomously around a building site
We're rapidly scaling up operations - we'll be building in the UK soon - and we need experienced engineers who can build the systems that manage all of that complexity. If you think that 'full-stack' could reasonably mean debugging firmware, mixing buckets of mortar _and_ writing React components, we are looking for you. Robotics experience not required!
Loft Orbital | Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SRE) | Golden, CO or San Francisco, CA | $180k–$240k + equity | https://loftorbital.com
Loft builds and operates shareable satellites so customers can fly a payload without building a spacecraft. We integrate, launch, and operate the mission end to end: Earth observation, IoT, on-orbit AI, national security. 30+ missions flown since 2017, fleet on track for 30 satellites by 2027, offices in SF, Golden, and Toulouse.
Our Cloud Infrastructure team runs the ground segment that talks to the fleet. This is an SRE role with a twist: we apply DevOps practices to spacecraft control (we call it SatDevOps), and we'll train you to operate the satellites.
What you'd own:
- Hybrid cloud infra on GCP + Kubernetes: provisioning (IaC), CI/CD, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux)
- The observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, tracing) across ground and flight systems
- Reliability: RCAs, fault tolerance, performance tuning, long-term fixes over patches
- Software-defined networking between ground stations, cloud, and mission ops
- Developer experience: tooling and environments for the flight software and ops teams
Looking for: strong public cloud (ideally GCP), deep Kubernetes, one backend language (Go/Python/Rust/C++/Java), IaC + CI/CD in anger, and someone who can design HA systems and then run them. Nice to have: FinOps, security tooling, orchestration in resource-constrained environments.
Benefits: 100% company-paid medical/dental/vision for you and dependents, 401(k) + equity, flexible PTO + 12 holidays, 14/10 weeks paid parental leave, daily catered lunch, relocation assistance, and time with the team in France.
Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company (aiuc.com) | MTS (full-stack + AI evals) | Full-time | Onsite (San Francisco) | $200K - $400K + equity
We're a team of frontier AI (including ex-Anthropic, METR, OpenAI), insurance, and governance people building incentive infrastructure to help ASI go well. We red-team, certify, and insure AI agents - working with the AI category leaders like Cursor, ElevenLabs, Harvey, Lovable, UiPath, and Fin; auditors like Schellman and KPMG; insurance partners at Lloyd's of London; and the AIUC-1 Consortium https://www.aiuc-1.com/consortium.
We've raised $55m from investors including Ribbit, First Harmonic, and Nat Friedman, and we're hiring across the board in San Francisco.
We're building a system that represents domain knowledge as modular probabilistic models — making analysis rigorous and transparent. Users can connect these models flexibly into larger structures. The system enforces consistency across them, and propagates uncertainty through each step. Our first applications are in finance and scientific research, with use cases ranging from equity valuation and distress monitoring, to particle physics.
We're hiring for the following openings:
* Engineering Program Lead
* Backend Software Engineer
* Quantitative Modelling Engineer
* Bayesian Software Engineer
* Program Synthesis Engineer
* Analytic Learning Algorithm Researcher
* Product Managers and Business Development
* Domain Experts - Valuation, Quantitative Default-Probability, or Interest Rate Prediction Models: to collaborate on use cases, from opportunity validation through production

Virtasant (1099 contractor for a client of ours) | Virtasant.com | Remote (USA)| full-time
Hey, we are a finops/cloud optimization company that also helps some of our clients with their hiring needs. For one of them (a solid healthcare data company) we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer.
The legal stuff:
You need to live in the USA and be under one of the following conditions:
a) US citizen
b) Green Card holder
c) Sole owner of your own LLC company (not co-owner, sole owner)
Sadly, all other options are not possible, like H1B, OPT, EAD, or CPT visas, are not possible for us.
80-90 USD per hour, changes of going a bit above if the candidate is amazing.
The tech stuff:
7 yoe (5 of which building production-grade data or platform services), AWS-heavy (if you're stronger on Azure or GCP, then it's not for you, sorry), Python, SQL, dbt, (Snowflake OR BigQuery OR Redshift), Spark, Kafka, (Iceberg OR Delta OR Hudi), (Airflow OR Dagster OR Prefect), CI/CD, Docker, AWS.
Great Question is the best way to understand your customers - whether it's mining what they've already told you, or generating new research via interviews, surveys and prototype tests. We're 2nd time founders, closed our Series A last year, with customers from Canva & Brex to Intuit & Amazon.
We're hiring product engineers to help us push the envelope on what's possible in AI engineering practices, while helping our customers bake customer insight into every product release.
You'll do well here if you have a strong sense of what makes a quality product, you're AI native, and you solve the problem of ambiguity with getting closer to customers.
We're a VC-funded startup (recently raised $51M Series C) building an infrastructure orchestrator and collaborative management platform for Infrastructure-as-Code – from OpenTofu, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Kubernetes, to Ansible.
On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. We're looking for backend developers who like doing DevOps'y stuff sometimes (because in a way it's the spirit of our company), or have experience with the cloud native ecosystem. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, or SaltStack.
Overall we have a deeply technical product, trying to build something customers love to use, and have a lot of happy and satisfied customers. We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don't give us a business advantage, as well as healthy working hours.
Pathos is building Foundry, an AI-native platform pairing the largest foundation model in oncology with 200+ petabytes of multimodal patient data. Backed by a $365M Series D; pipeline now spans 4 clinical assets, including new licensing deals with AstraZeneca and Alphamabs. Small teams of 2-4 experts orchestrate hundreds of AI agents. NY-based candidates preferred. https://pathos.com
Senior Software/AI Engineer: build AI agents/copilots for BD, clinical, comp bio, and lab teams, MCP-style servers, pipelines into a governed knowledge graph. ~6-8+ years, Python + TypeScript, shipped LLM workflows to production (LangGraph), own services end-to-end.
DevSecOps Engineer: own security architecture for AI agent infra — threat models, agent permissioning, secure CI/CD, detection/IR for AI-native threats, HIPAA-aligned data governance. ~6+ years security eng, GCP, IaC, hands-on incident response.
Apply: chris.poshka+hn@pathos.com — one sentence on relevant production work you've shipped.
Jawa.gg | Software Engineer | Boulder, CO or remote | Contract or Full Time
Jawa is the marketplace for gamers - think gaming PCs, GPUs, consoles, and the like. We're a small, VC-funded team with a big business, and have been operating since 2021.
We're are looking for full-stack software engineers to build and maintain our peer-to-peer marketplace. The tech stack is mostly Typescript, with Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, and other fairly standard web-tools / infra.
Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of experience. I specialize in high-concurrency architecture, solving race conditions under scale, and resolving deep technical bottlenecks.

At SmallSat last month, a supplier walked up to me (in a full spacesuit costume), said "oh you're from Silkline, we love you guys!" and handed us a roadmap item on the spot. That's the job: sit with customers, hear what's broken, ship it. 0-1 product, real UI/UX ownership, ERP integrations that sync POs and manufacturing data.
Stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Trigger.dev. You: 5+ years full-stack, startup or 0-1 experience, fast with APIs (bonus: ERPs). The role touches ITAR-controlled data, so US persons only, no visa sponsorship.
We 5x'd our customer base this past year and continue to grow fast. Small team, direct line to the founders (Isaac and myself). Also: space-suited mascot named Silky.
We build the first AI-native ERP OS. Competitors measure customer migrations in quarters, we offer Day-One data migration.
Backed by Google, Lightspeed and Khosla with a 90M series A, we're building a team of outliers. The people who raise the bar. The builders. The ones who move fast and consistently do exceptional work.
It's high ownership, greenfield work and many of our roles are first hires. You'll grow along with the product and the team.

Email ivanc@dualentry.com with your CV/LinkedIn and "Hacker News" + Role in the subject line
We will respond to every email that includes all this info.
(I want to preface that we don't have a ton of budget to expand our team right now and we want to keep the team small, but I also don't want to miss someone who would be a great fit)
We are a self-funded independent AI research lab in Zurich. Currently we explore ARC-AGI3, LLM/RL reasoning, and quant. We recently started a new LLM post-training and pre-training effort, led by some ex-engineers from the swissAI Apertus team. We also like to do some Kaggle on the side, our team includes the top #3 and #12 globally.
Our overall roadmap is to catch up with LLM capabilities, own the full stack, and use it to do our own independent research, pushing efficiency and looking for new paradigms. We expect our new cluster (2x NVL GB300) to be up by the end of the month.
Long term we want to switch to AI alignment/safety research as I believe this is all that matters when AI capability is high enough.
We look for people who are driven, who believe it's possible to make significant contributions to both AI capabilities and safety, and with previous experience pre-training and post-training LLMs and related infra.
If interested, email me at benjamin at tufalabs ai.

Wikimedia Foundation | Lead Product Manager, Security | REMOTE (US + 18 countries) | Full-time
I lead the security and safety team for Wikipedia, at the Wikimedia Foundation. I’m hiring a product manager to lead our security roadmap and steer the priorities of our security engineering team.
It’s a high-pace, shipping-heavy time for the whole project right now, as we are dedicating ourselves to surviving all the ways AI is messing with us and the internet, and getting to the other side of it. I joined myself about a year ago, and have found it to be a great time and place to swing big and surprise people.
This is a PM role and PM background is certainly helpful, but it’s not strictly required (everyone has the first PM job at some point). A technical background and security expertise are a must for this role, so we’re also open to people in engineering roles, who have demonstrated PM-relevant skills and are interested in making a pivot.
I‘ve been considering applying at WikiMedia for a while now, but [my country] is not in the listed countries. Is there a chance you‘ll expand this list in the future?
Ah, that is too bad. It's certainly always possible the countries list could expand in future, but it's not something I have insight into and unfortunately can't give you too much to go on.

I think I'd be a strong fit for some of your roles, but the benefits advertised read to me like the absolute bare minimum to meet industry norms. Is there anything you would say is a real advantage for Apex?
Mingla | CTO (ONSITE, Stockholm) or Part-time Engineer (REMOTE ok) | https://mingla.com
Mingla makes strangers meet at in-person events: attendees scan a QR code and are straight in — no App Store, no signup — gamified missions start real conversations, and the organizer gets proof of what happened in the room.
You'd own the platform end to end: Elixir/Phoenix backend (Ash, GraphQL, Postgres) and a native SwiftUI iOS app — the QR entry is an App Clip. We're open to two setups: a full-time CTO onsite in Stockholm, or a part-time engineer who can work remote.
Apply: hello@mingla.io, subject "HN: CTO / Engineer", with a link to something you've built and one line on which setup fits you. No cover letter needed.
Attendi | Machine Learning Engineer | Amsterdam, Netherlands | ONSITE (hybrid) | €6,000 - €7,000 per month | Full-time (80–100%, ~4–5 days/week) | Visa sponsorship + 30% ruling possible
Company: Healthcare professionals spend too much valuable time on administrative tasks while they should be using that time delivering great care. Attendi enables healthcare professionals to report through speech. Aside from saving time, it removes the screen between client and caregiver, allowing more personal and effective care. Burdened by an aging population, the healthcare sector is in desperate need of innovators like Attendi. We provide an extraordinary work environment: getting paid well to work with smart people on things that actually have a positive impact on society.
Role: As an ML Engineer, you will accelerate our roadmap through operationalisation of ML in real-world production systems, owning the full lifecycle from prototyping to training, serving, monitoring, and continuously improving models in the cloud. We pride ourselves on keeping teams small, tightly knit and agile, enabling us to build the next generation of reporting intelligence for health care professionals.
Suitability: Hands-on experience/responsibility in an ML role. Full-stack with exposure to ML is not suited for this position.
Discord | Senior Software Engineer, Application Security | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | $280K–$330K TC
Discord is where communities and friend groups spend time together, on desktop, mobile, and now more and more inside games and third-party apps built on our platform. That surface area, plus a huge, engaged, occasionally adversarial user base, makes application security a genuinely hard and interesting problem here.
We're hiring a Senior Application Security Engineer to join the Product Security team. Responsibilities include threat modeling and secure design review with product and platform teams, building and improving AppSec tooling (SAST/DAST/dependency scanning), and working directly with engineering teams to remediate findings.
Stack: Python primarily, some TypeScript/React, some Rust, occasional JavaScript. Runs on GCP.
Looking for: hands-on AppSec experience (not just compliance-flavored security), comfort reading and reviewing code across languages, and sound judgment on prioritizing real risk over checklist security.
Aeolus | DevOps Engineer | San Francisco, CA (onsite) | Full-Time
Aeolus is seeking an exceptional DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the cloud infrastructure and deployment systems that power our mission in applied atmospheric science.
In this role, you'll be the technical foundation our scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers build on. At the core of our efforts is an operational physical weather model written in Julia, executed on GPUs. Responsibilities include designing and operating cloud environments, deployment pipeliness and infrastructure-as-code that keep our systems reliable, scalable, and fast. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in HPC environments with Slurm management.
At Middesk, we're building the business identity infrastructure that banks, fintechs, and platforms rely on to know who they're doing business with — powering KYB (Know Your Business) compliance, fraud prevention, and entity verification at scale.
We're expanding beyond verification into a full agentic compliance platform — orchestrators and specialist agents that automate what used to be manual compliance review. Backed by YC, Sequoia, and Accel (Series B).
We're a small, sharp team with high ownership — engineers work closely with customers and leadership, and get to see their work ship fast.
The best jobs have always clustered in a handful of the world's wealthiest cities. But talent is everywhere. Oyster set out to close that gap - building a global employment platform that lets companies hire, pay, and care for brilliant people anywhere.
Oyster’s Platform Flow Engineering team builds the systems and tooling that allow our engineers to ship software quickly, safely, and reliably at scale. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll help shape the platform capabilities that sit between code and production, from CI/CD and cloud infrastructure to observability, developer tooling, and operational workflows.
You’ll work closely with application and security engineers to remove infrastructure complexity, create better developer experiences, and build reliable, secure foundations that scale with Oyster. You’ll also explore practical ways to use AI to improve developer productivity, automate operational workflows, and reduce engineering toil.

If you're interested, email me at jjay+orangesite@enrollment123.com with your honest, hand-written resume. I don't want some super polished AI bullshit, show me your real experience! The interview process is hopefully short and sweet: 1) meet with me for a quick intro to ensure we'll be a good mutual fit, 2) advance to a technical interview with the team, then 3) a last culture + company info session so you have all the info to make a decision.

Help us build an AI-first engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain platform. What if you could ask AI: "how does this new turbine blade geometry affect our 42MW power requirements?" And actually get a meaningful answer? This is the platform that supports Superpower, Symphony, and Overture from design to deployment across multiple factories. If you love hard-tech, distributed systems, web apps, and building AI infrastructure at scale, please apply.
Also hiring for telemetry and engine design and analysis software roles.
ODK is an open-source platform used by thousands of organizations worldwide to collect billions of data points for disease surveillance, supply chain traceability, environmental monitoring, and more. It enables users to build powerful forms and reliably collect structured data, even in places with little or no Internet connectivity.
ODK has been actively developed for 18 years. We have a mix of self-hosted and SaaS users across many sectors. We're looking for a senior product manager who will own product discovery and prioritization across this diverse user base. To be successful, you'll need to find the common needs behind very different workflows and turn them into opinionated product improvements.
Because the team is small and the user base is large, this is a high-autonomy role where product decisions have an unusually direct impact. You should have substantial experience managing complex B2B or technical products. Experience with open source, self-hosted software, and small, fully remote teams is a plus.
Shared Context Lab | Member of Technical Staff | San Francisco or New York | ONSITE | Full-time
Shared Context Lab (https://sharedcontextlab.com) is building adaptive personal AI that understands the texture of real life: relationships, routines, responsibilities, and goals. We’re looking for a senior, hands-on engineer to tackle:
- Core agent, product, and infrastructure systems
- Context, memory, orchestration, and tool use
- Simulation environments for users, schedules, relationships, and multi-agent interactions
- Evaluations for long-horizon agent behavior, reliability, and safety
We care a lot about high agency, collaboration, and high ownership mentality. Strong product judgment and care for user experience matter as much as technical rigor.
We build environments that frontier AI labs use to train their models to do real-world software engineering. We have more demand than we can keep up with, so we're hiring fast.
It’s so interesting that the example training given is game boy advance emulator as such a large task, when misalignments and task veering happen so regularly in smaller bits.
Ashby is the all-in-one recruiting platform powering hiring at the world's most innovative companies. If you cmd+f "Ashby" you'll see that we're powering many of the job postings in this thread!
As we scale our platform, we are also looking to scale our Product Engineering team.
Why Join?
High Seniority & Density: 80%+ of our engineering team is Senior–Staff+ level. You’ll be working alongside peers who excel at navigating ambiguity and setting high standards.
True End-to-End Ownership: We give an unusual amount of autonomy. You’ll own features from initial spec writing and customer interviews all the way to production. Many of our most loved features were built entirely by a single engineer!
Product Sense > Pure Speed: Building fast is getting easier, but building the right thing still isn't. Customer empathy, sound judgment, and product taste matter far more to us than where you worked in the past.
100% Remote Async Culture: Low meeting overhead, high trust, and an even distribution of engineers across North America and Europe.
Inferra | Bare-Metal GPU Infra + Applied AI | San Francisco / REMOTE | Full-time / internship
We're looking for cracked, optimistic engineers/students with good systems taste and high tolerance of ambiguity. We're a team of ~10 in SF, building a GPU neocloud. High agency, lots of freedom, very little boundaries.
Think GPU datacenter bring-up, storage, networking, and designing IaC. Also think optimizing AI workloads, env design, minimizing GPU bring up times, and maximizing hardware fungibility.
Email sasan at inferra.ai with anything relevant. For internships: please tell what you'd like to do in the next ~year, if you could do anything.
Brilliant is building the world's first graphical AI tutor: a collection of interactive learning experiences that both the learner and their AI tutor can see and manipulate. In a world of cognitive offloading, Brilliant's AI gets people to actually think and solve hard problems.
We're hiring an interactive-focused engineer to craft the building blocks that power it. Each interactive exposes an API used by learning designers, our authoring agents, and the tutor itself. And every configuration those APIs can produce has to be a correct, solvable, meaningful puzzle. It's a tricky technical problem with a big payoff for our learners.
Engineers at Brilliant think about both "building the right thing" AND "building the thing right" while pursuing high standards of excellence for ourselves, our product, and our codebase.
If you're energized by the prospect of doing the best work of your career and changing how the world learns, you can learn more and apply here: https://brilliant.org/careers.

Renaissance Philanthropy | Research Engineer (Speech AI/ML) | Remote (worldwide)
Renaissance Philanthropy's aim is to activate a virtuous circle of increasing ambition and impact between philanthropists and innovators: by identifying frontier experts both in science and in new ways of solving problems; by tapping into the growing number of emerging philanthropists; and by building multi-sector initiatives that can harness the power of philanthropy, markets, and governments.
RenPhil's Engineering Hub supports mission-driven, grant-funded educational technology projects that seek to improve educational outcomes in fundamental skills like math and reading. This summer we're launching a program called LEVI Literacy, which has a goal of halving the number of struggling readers in the US within 5 years.
We're looking for an expert in modern voice AI to support this work. Our partner teams are building tools that assess and support early reading directly from children's speech in real classrooms — oral reading, spoken vocabulary tasks, whole-class instruction. These are hard, meaningful speech problems: young children's voices, noisy multi-speaker environments, and high stakes for getting it right — and fair — for every student.
We're looking for folks who:
- have built and operated production ASR or speech-processing systems
- know the full data-to-model pipeline: collection, annotation, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment
- can speak the languages of both research and engineering
- want to help create a world where all children learn to read well.

2. Deploying agents that run durable workflows across days or weeks, maintaining state across calls, tools, documents, and human handoffs
3. Making AI agents reliable and observable in a financial workflows: tool calling, evals, guardrails, and deterministic fallbacks
Category Labs (formerly known as Monad Labs) is a team of systems engineers and researchers on a mission to design and build at the frontier of decentralized technology. We strive to design and build step-function improvements over existing blockchain solutions. After raising $225M in series A funding, led by Paradigm, we are growing our team.
We’re the team behind Monad, a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 whose public mainnet is now live. We write the core software that runs it: a parallel-execution EVM, a custom state database, and a BFT consensus client, all developed in the open.
A note on hiring:
Recruiting outreach from Category Labs will always come from a @category.xyz email address. We currently don't work with external or third-party recruiters, so anyone claiming to recruit for Category Labs from another company isn't legitimate. Paramark | Software Engineer (L4) | San Francisco HYBRID (3 days/wk) or REMOTE (US) | Full-time | $199K–$249K + equity
Paramark helps Marketing teams optimize spend across all of their channels and programs. There are proven scientific ways to do this, but they are poorly understood and practiced by only a tiny fraction of teams. Our product ingests data from all of our customers' marketing channels and uses it to train open-source ML models for both measurement and experimentation. This makes it possible for any marketer to use these methods.
In this domain, it's hard to figure out what to build, and it's even harder to be both accurate and simple. You'll be joining a small team -- we have four product engineers. That means owning systems end to end and having real influence over what gets built. Your typical project will start with a high level goal, and you will figure out the rest.
Founded 2023, 15 people, $8M from Greylock and others, cash-flow positive. Reasonable working hours: when the Mercury News covered the return of 996 culture, we were the counterexample. "We don't think early stage startup life requires 18-hour days, or even 12-hour days." https://www.mercurynews.com/2025/08/25/silicon-valley-startu.... 4 weeks PTO plus federal holidays, medical/dental/vision (100% of employee premiums, 50% for family).
Looking for 8+ years, full-stack. Some exposure to statistics, experimentation, or A/B testing helps.
Stack: TypeScript, React, Python, Postgres. Google Cloud, Kubernetes, FastAPI, taskiq.
Process: intro call; technical phone screen; one-day onsite in SF (travel covered for remote candidates)
I’m a co-founder of Quill, a fullstack SDK for adding customer-facing analytics & data features to your app. Backed by YCombinator & top-tier SV-based investors (fundraising not publicly disclosed; happy to share any details when we chat).
Some examples of how customers get value from Quill:
• pre-IPO fintech adds custom reporting & data export features to their money movement product.
• Series B healthtech is now able to deliver completely custom in-product reports & dashboards to every enterprise customer they onboard.
• Series A govtech adds analytics and reporting capabilities within their existing agent/chat product.
Reasons you’d love working with us:
• Work with a small, focused, talented team on a highly technical product (by developers for developers).
• Funded company in a big market, but still prelaunch with a team size <5
• High level of product ownership with tight feedback loops: the products you build are shipped quickly and get used by real customers immediately. Our latest hire built our entire CLI product from 0 -> 1, and it was used in production by customers the day it shipped.
We are growing the team to keep up with demand for new features that our customers are asking us for, while also preparing for launch. We're looking for someone that will make us better. We’re just getting started, and want you to bring your opinions, expertise, and experience to the table (not just execute on the ideas we already have).
Balerion AI | Software + FDE + AI Engineers | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | Full-time | $250k+ base + seed equity | Visa sponsorship available | https://balerion.ai
We're building agentic AI for mortgage lending — automating document processing and income qualification for loan originators.
Underwriting a loan means pulling numbers out of a few hundred pages of paystubs, W-2s, bank statements, and tax returns, then applying underwriting guidelines that run to thousands of pages of edge cases. Most of it is still done by hand.
Problems we actually work on: routing scanned pages to OCR vs. text extraction when the text layer is unreliable; extraction pipelines where a wrong number is much worse than a missing one; running long agent workflows durably so a failure three steps in doesn't restart the whole loan; and evaluating multi-step output against guidelines that are themselves ambiguous. We put real effort into eval infrastructure, because "the demo looked good" does not survive contact with a lender's compliance team.
Stack: Python, PydanticAI, Restate for durable execution, Postgres, AWS. Frontier models from OpenAI and Anthropic plus open-source models where they win on cost or latency.
We raised an $8M seed led by Kleiner Perkins and have paying customers in production. Team previously at Snowflake, PayPal, Twitter, Atlassian, and Microsoft.
Comp: $250k+ base, meaningful seed-stage equity, 5% 401(k) match, full health coverage, commuter stipend, gym membership, daily office breakfast & lunch. Full relocation to SF covered.
Onsite in SF. Visa sponsorship: yes.
Email vishal@balerion.ai with "HN" in the subject, plus a resume or GitHub.
At Shepherd, we're pursuing the most ambitious technical vision in commercial insurance: fully autonomous underwriting. Shepherd is an AI-native commercial insurance platform transforming how high-hazard industries get covered.
The infrastructure behind the AI boom (data centers, semiconductor fabs, renewable energy assets) has to be built and insured, but traditional carriers weren't built for this speed. We built Shepherd to solve that.
We announced our $42M Series B earlier this year! That brings our total funding to over $60M — led by Intact Private Capital, the investment arm of one of the largest insurers in the world. Intact is not only our lead investor but also a carrier partner, a testament to the confidence the incumbent industry has in what we're building.
We’re looking for product-minded, high ownership engineers to join our team! The Engineering team is HQ’d in SF, but we’re growing in NYC now too!
We’re hiring for 4 Senior SWEs, 1 MLE and 1 AI PM in SF, and 2 Staff SWEs in NYC. Engineers own projects end-to-end so full stack ability is expected.
WorkHero https://workhero.pro | Senior SWE, AI Automation Engr, Senior PM | REMOTE (US+INTL for eng, US for product & automations)
WorkHero is building the AI-powered back office for the skilled trades, starting with HVAC. Small contractors spend their nights on rebates, permits, equipment registrations, billing, and collections. We pair dedicated office managers with AI agents that take this work over end to end. We are expanding our product and engineering organization - looking for talented engineers, product managers, and builders who are excited to rethink the back office for small businesses!
- Senior Product Manager, AI Agents: own the agents at the core of the product end to end, from how their prompts, tools, and knowledge cohere into one experience through the evals that prove they accomplish the user's goal. https://www.workhero.pro/careers?ashby_jid=5fca94a0-7705-42f...
All roles require working hours that overlap with 11am-3pm ET.
We're building a sensorized vibrator that actually listens: pressure and motion sensors plus an AI story made for women that changes the motors based on what her body is doing. Closed loop, not another dumb toy.
Hiring a Founding Hardware & Embedded Engineer to own sensors → electronics → firmware/BLE → DSP → body-response → motor → app, through factory. Portfolio over résumé; degrees and years don't matter. Apply with what you've built: morgan@experiencedevin.com
MintMCP | Founding Engineer / Founding GTM | SF Bay Area (HYBRID)
MintMCP gives IT one place to roll out AI agents easily, providing security teams governed identity, access, and visibility while engineering teams connect MCP tools, LLMs, and coworker agents. We're rolled out to 40+ paying customers including Braze, Coursera, and Stability AI in the last 6 months.
We also doubled our team in the last 6 weeks from 6 to 12 FTEs, and almost everyone is a seasoned startup vet at staff or principal level.
If you have experience in infra, security, and agents, and believe MCP, while not perfect, will evolve to become critical AI infrastructure, you might find the problems we're working on exciting!

Anterior | Software Engineers | NYC | Onsite | Full Time
Anterior is improving the experience of healthcare for everyone. Our agentic orchestration platform makes clinical decisioning frictionless for RNs and MDs.
About You: You have a passion for doing things The Right Way, you believe Less is More, you want to focus on Foundations of system design and architecture (pacelc, consistency guarantees), you care as much about what code you do not write, you’re tired of the hype treadmill and care about the fundamentals. You have battle scars from overengineered and underperforming slop, and you care about writing code that lasts.
- Langs: TS / Python - Infra: Nix, CDKTF, AWS
We’re hiring from infra to full stack. Come share your proudest firefighting story with us in an interview, bring your GitHub, and let’s see if we’re a good fit!
We are a RIA looking for an incredibly inquisitive person who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and diving into data. Technology is only part of the role. Working with stakeholders--and understanding what their pain points are--is more important than optimizing a query.
Six-person venture lab in New York. We build our own products. A studio arm does client work, is profitable, and pays for the rest.
Our founder ran her own design studio and was the founding design partner on Partiful, on Sentropy before Discord bought it, on Goldcast before Cvent, on Make before Celonis, and on Descartes Labs. She builds here now instead of for other people.
You would own the production application around our intelligence layer. Architecture, frontend, backend, Postgres, durable execution state, retries and idempotency, permissions, deploys, and the data-heavy interfaces people work inside all day: tables, relationships, filters, history, approvals. React and TypeScript at depth, Node or Python behind it. We write a lot of MCP servers and build with Claude Code daily.
Seven-plus years shipping, hands on code within the last year. Design and engineering sit in the same room here. There is no handoff.
Most people who apply like the words "founding engineer." We are looking for someone who has already started something of their own.
Ownership. You should own a piece of what you build here. We are not going to post a percentage, because the honest answer depends on what you end up carrying, and we would rather work that out with you than hand you a number that pretends to be precise. It is a conversation, it is flexible, and we intend it to be fair.
We are six people. Nothing you build goes through a committee before it ships. Nothing you break, you fix alone. We are a tight team today and we are looking to double it by the end of the year.
Please send your resume or GitHub, plus the most ambitious thing you have built mostly on your own. Rough work that worked beats polished that never shipped.
If this is not you but a name comes to mind, please pass it along. :)
Noricum | Senior Backend Engineer, Payments, Ledger & Provable Fairness | REMOTE (2h overlap with US Pacific) | Contract to permanent | $120-160/hr | Start by 14 Sep
I'm the founder of Noricum where we build platforms – currently the money infrastructure, ledger, engine and payment rails behind a pre-launch wagering platform with a Steam skins economy. The games, a cashier and a bet ledger are built and live as a front end, with written specs for the server contract: ledger schema, refusal table, round lifecycle, every game's arithmetic. Processing and licensing are secured. The server does not exist. That is the job. You would own:
- A server-authoritative game engine - seeds, nonces, outcome computation
- A double-entry ledger where balance is derived and no client write can change it
- Server-side enforcement of every limit and refusal
- Payment rails idempotent under duplicated webhooks
- Seed custody and the provably-fair lifecycle
- An affiliate system with referral attribution and commission payouts
Must have shipped: a double-entry ledger or equivalent money system in production, a payment integration including webhook idempotency, auth and sessions you built and operated, and infrastructure you owned end to end. Provably-fair systems, settlement-side gaming or trading infra, or Steam trade automation all stand out.
Email michael@noricum.io with your start date and a few lines on the last money system you shipped - what it guaranteed, and how you knew it held.
We have successfully hired from HN in previous rounds and are looking for another OpenZFS Developer (4+ years of experience) to join our team!
Klara Inc. provides development & solutions focused on open source software and the community-driven development of OpenZFS and FreeBSD. We develop new features, investigate/fix bugs, and support the community of these important open source infrastructure projects. Some of our recent work includes major ZFS features such as Fast Deduplication (OpenZFS 2.3) and AnyRAID: https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/17567https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/pull/18406
We’re looking for an OpenZFS Developer with:
- Strong C programming skills and understanding of data structures
- Experience with file systems, VFS, and OS internals (threading, locking, IPC, memory management)
Two quick things: what's the hourly rate, and how big is the team at the moment? I've noticed a fair bit of turnover from the company's public activity, so any context on that would be appreciated.
Relevant builds a data platform that helps safety-net healthcare providers deliver better care using data from their electronic health records. Our customers are non-profit clinics called Community Health Centers. You can read more about them, us, and the roles on our jobs page: https://relevant.healthcare/jobs/
We're a small team (~25 overall). We're bootstrapped (no external capital whatsoever, VC or otherwise) and profitable. We've got a modern tech stack (Rails, Typescript, React, GraphQL, d3) and a healthy approach to both tech debt and work/life balance… and we’re also a very nice group of people that get to work on interesting problems for some of the few unimpeachably good actors in healthcare!

Starbridge | Senior AI Engineer and Senior Product Engineer | NYC or Remote | Full-time |
https://starbridge.ai/
Starbridge is building an AI platform that turns large-scale public and enterprise data into reliable sales insights. We are early, moving fast, and building from zero to one, so this role will have huge ownership and product impact.
AI Engineer: Applied AI plus strong software engineering. You will build, evaluate, and deploy LLM-driven features like deep document analysis and interactive chat, working with models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini. Expect hands-on Python, ML system design, experimentation, and production reliability. Bonus for RAG depth and frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face.
Product Engineer: (React/Typescript) who would work closely with product and design to build user-facing parts of the platform. You will craft performant, stable frontends that explain technical concepts to non-technical users and help us iterate fast based on customer feedback.
We're looking to build our in-person team in NYC but also open to remote!
Modash helps brands find, manage, and pay creators - and helps creators earn a living.
The product looks simple on the surface. Underneath, we index 380M+ public creator profiles across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube so that 1,700+ brands search, evaluate, manage, and pay creators without drowning in spreadsheets and tabs.
We're looking for Senior Product Engineers who like owning ambiguous problems end-to-end. No perfectly shaped tickets. You talk to customers, understand messy workflows, make product decisions, ship, and own whether it actually works.
The problems we care about:
- How do you make a 380M-profile dataset feel fast, trustworthy, and easy to explore?
- How do you turn chaotic influencer marketing workflows into product that feels obvious?
- How do you build tools that work for both small teams and brands like Stanley, Sennheiser, Birkenstock, and NordVPN??
We're 85 people, raised an €11M Series A, and ARR is doubling every year. HQ is in Tallinn, engineering is fully remote across Europe.
No ticket factory. No seven layers of approval. Small teams, real ownership, hard product problems.

I'm hiring for a frontline EM building the automation and trust layer for freight pricing, matching, onboarding, and settlement.Lead 1-3 teams (FTE + contractors), own delivery end-to-end, ~8 yrs exp typical. I expect everyone in my eng org (myself included!) to be technical and be able to help unblock the team, though your day-to-day wont be in the code.
Technical here means you can/will get into the code yourself and architecture reviews and maintain technical credibility with our junior to staff/principal level engineers. These are not player-coach roles, but these are frontline roles that need that technical capability.
Interesting problems: trust/fraud at marketplace scale; legacy-data-meets-modern-stack; and all kinds of problems that come with powering hundreds of thousands of load/shipment postings every day.
AI/LLM: We are leaned in, but still hold humans responsible for what they push and expect everyone to review and understand llm output before asking other humans to look at a thing.
Culture: I am deeply familiar with Google's project oxygen/aristotle and am building a culture where our teams can do great work with minimal bs.
Location: Must be local to one of our three locations (Seattle, Portland, Denver).
Whoever posts this monthly, please include the tag in your description. Employers need to know this is an in-demand feature we want. I for one will not be taking any non-4DWW jobs.

Stpkr Technologies is hiring for the following roles to build the next generation of wearable devices.
We are currently looking for the following roles but we are also open to interviewing any candidates who feel like they will do their best work here - even if your skillset/experience doesn't fit the current defined roles. Our current team doesn't fit the conventional mold, and we don't expect our future hires will either. If you don't fit the advertised roles, just send us a mail per the same process with whatever job title would fit you the best.
Work is in person near Noida Sector 18, walking distance from Sector 18 Metro Station. We prefer in office work, and for you to be located within Delhi/NCR, Pay is competitive (9-12 LPA), and there are opportunities to earn meaningful equity down the line. We prefer current and recent undergraduates for our roles. If you are still in college we welcome you to apply nonetheless provided you can work as an intern for us in person. Super-flexible overall and all of our current team started out as interns. We are not flexible on in-office work because of operational requirements - please do not apply if you can't relocate/work from office.
Hiring across OS, software, and hardware. AI policy across all roles: you should be able to do the work without AI, and much faster with it.
Systems Engineer - Everything at the OS layer. You've rooted phones, flashed custom ROMs, broken and fixed Linux for fun. Comfortable in C/C++. GitHub with kernel-adjacent or LineageOS-type projects a plus. Stack: Android, Linux, C, C++, Java. Filter: send us something you built where you had to fight the OS or hardware.
Hardware Engineer - Bring-up/Debug/Integration - Take EVT/DVT boards and make them work. Comfortable with J-Link and IDE debugging, reading schematics and reference designs. KiCad/Altium/EasyEDA hobby work would make you ideal. PetaLinux experience or hunger to learn it. ECE undergrad fine. Filter: photo of a board you designed or debugged, plus what went wrong.
Hardware Engineer - Power/RF/Wireless - Make the power and RF paths behave on EVT/DVT boards. Hands-on with schematic capture, layout, soldering, scope/logic analyzer. Given two unknowns, you pick one and start measuring. Filter: sensor fusion work, how noise behaves across protocols, and SPI debug chops.
Founder's Office - Work closely with the founder and the rest of the team to manage the day to day and long term affairs of the company, the Man Friday of the company. Must have a decent degree of technical knowledge (we are a tech company after all) and be efficient at administrative tasks as well as management. Speed and learning ability are prized here, there will not always be a clear path to the work you have to do here, so you will have to figure some of it out on your own.
To apply, contact arnav@stpkr.in with the subject line "HN - Human" and a brief intro for further communication. Attach any documents you deem useful there. Please include the role you are applying for at the top of the email if it is one of the above mentioned, otherwise whatever role fits you best. Shortlisting will be online, interviews will be in person. We are hiring quickly, expect to hear back from us within 2-3 days of applying. If you don't, assume you will not. If you are using an AI agent to mass apply for jobs and we can tell, then you will not hear back. Use an expensive one :P (reiterating this, because we receive so much AI spam now. Thanks for your time!
Proxybase | Backend Systems Engineer (Rust) | Remote, Global | Full-Time
Hi HN,
I’m the founder of Proxybase [0]. We’re building a SOCKS5 proxy network focused on transparency and ethical sourcing in the residential proxy market.
A quick note for anyone who applied last month: thank you to everyone who reached out. We received far more strong applications than expected, and between running day-to-day operations and working through the backlog, we took much longer to reply than we should have.
If you applied last month and haven’t heard back yet, I’m sorry for the delay. We’re actively reviewing those applications alongside this new batch.
Why Proxybase?
The residential proxy industry has a rough history. Some providers rely on hidden background scrapers bundled into TV firmware or mobile apps, while others use payout systems that can hold provider funds for months.
We’re trying to build something better:
Open-source clients: Our GUI [1] and CLI [2] are fully open source, so anyone can inspect and audit what runs on their device.
Explicit consent: Providers knowingly opt in. No stealth bundling.
Fair, fast payouts: The minimum payout is $1, sent directly to provider wallets in USD stablecoins. We do not hold funds to earn interest on them.
We’re hiring a Backend Systems Engineer with Rust experience to help build:
Stack: Rust, Tokio, Axum, SOCKS5, Linux systemd daemons, SQLite
Location: Fully remote, async-friendly, flexible time zones
Compensation: Competitive salary plus equity. USD or stablecoin payment options are available.
If you’re interested in building infrastructure for an industry that needs better standards, email jobs@proxybase.xyz with your GitHub, résumé, and a short note about what you’ve been working on recently.
I’ll also be around in the comments to answer questions and hear feedback.
Aerdos | https://www.aerdos.com/ | SF | Full Time | $200-250K + equity
We're building an ai-native intelligence agency to help the USG answer the trickiest national security problems. We do this with lots of public/commercial data and ai.
Astoria AI | Founding AI Engineer — Agentic Systems | Remote (async) | Full-time | Equity-only pre-seed, $190k-$280k + equity post-seed
Astoria AI is building an agentic runtime for human potential — a suite of specialized AI agents serving candidates and companies across the entire hiring and talent lifecycle: career strategy, networking intelligence, verified matching, compliance-native hiring, onboarding, and retention.
The hiring market is structurally broken: 44% of resumes contain fabrications, ATS filters reject 88% of qualified candidates, and 27% of posted jobs are ghost jobs — while regulation (EU AI Act, Mobley v. Workday, FCRA suits) is forcing enterprises to rethink hiring AI. We're building the fix.
You'll own the intelligence layer: LLM-powered agentic workflows (tool use, structured outputs, multi-step orchestration), RAG/retrieval pipelines, lightweight ML for classification/ranking/entity matching, and evaluation loops for hallucination risk and output quality.
Looking for: 6+ years professional SW engineering (Python/TypeScript/APIs/DBs), hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic workflows, and ideally RAG/embeddings/vector DB experience beyond basic chatbots.
Stage: pre-launch, pre-seed, founding team, equity-only until seed round closes (~4-6 months), then competitive salary + refresh grants.
Apply: Konstantin.mueller@astoria.ai with „HN“ in subject, plus resume or GitHub
> Commenters: please don't reply to job posts to complain about something. It's off topic here.
But also: while I didn't post this, that's not uncommon for a founding engineer. They're looking for someone to help start the company from scratch, typically with a healthy dose of equity. It's a calculated risk for the engineer, possibly worth anywhere from zero to a gazillion dollars depending on outcome.
I normally wouldn't comment, but expecting someone with that skillset and those kind of opportunities available to them to work for free for 4-6 months with the promise of actual pay "when our seed round closes" was so egregious I couldn't help myself, sorry.
That's common for founders, though. The CEO and CTO etc. are almost certainly in the same boat. They're not so much saying "come work for free" as "come join this group of us who are taking a leap from our current jobs and building something brand new, in hopes it'll pay off wildly."
Kind, smart, low-drama people, seeking the same to help make writing tools authors dream about.
Our users have published thousands of books using Sudowrite, and we're building a sustainable company, not chasing unrealistic growth targets set by VCs.

We The Flywheel | AI-Native Engineers & Operators | REMOTE (worldwide) | Contract / Part-time (10–40 hrs/wk)
We're a remote-first digital product studio building across sports media, AI, fitness, and personal branding — 500+ web properties and deeply AI-native workflows. AI does the heavy lifting here, but it's the leverage, not the point: we hire for the human judgment, ingenuity, and taste on top of it.
Open now:
* Agentic PR Coordinator — media lists, outreach, drafting, and AI-assisted PR workflows for earned media. Entry-level, 10–40 hrs/week.
* Agentic-Led Social Media Marketer — AI-native social media management: content, scheduling, and performance across channels. 10–40 hrs/week.
* Production Designer — brand and marketing asset production using AI tooling. 10–40 hrs/week.
Also open: Agentic Engineer, Sr Agentic Engineer, Agentic Operations Coordinator, Agentic Operator, AI Operator Team Lead, Creative Copywriter & Storyteller, and more.
It would be good to indicate if you are open to engineers in Europe or the UK and what hourly salary they should be expecting. The other locations you list are considerably cheaper and might indicate you aren't paying enough to support talent from these geographies.

Stand | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE
Open Roles:
Member of the Technical Staff, AI Harness (Full-time, Hybrid, $270-325k, Offers Equity) - https://www.standinsurance.com/careers/259bb94f-1dfd-458f-88...
*Fastly | Software Engineers (Senior, Staff, Principal) | US, UK, EU, APAC ONSITE PREFERRED | Full-time*
When you look at the headers of major websites, you’ll see us.

MONUMENTAL | https://www.monumental.co/ | Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Full Time | Onsite
Check out the progress we've already made on Atrium, our operating system for robotics: https://www.monumental.co/atrium

What you'd own: - Hybrid cloud infra on GCP + Kubernetes: provisioning (IaC), CI/CD, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) - The observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, tracing) across ground and flight systems - Reliability: RCAs, fault tolerance, performance tuning, long-term fixes over patches - Software-defined networking between ground stations, cloud, and mission ops - Developer experience: tooling and environments for the flight software and ops teams

Spacelift | Remote (Europe) | Full-time | Senior Software Engineer | $80k-$110k+ (can go higher)

Silkline | Software Engineer | Chicago, Seattle | ONSITE (5 days/week) | $150k-$225k + equity | https://silkline.ai
Modern hardware supply chains run on spreadsheets, email, PDFs, and prayer. It's like fax woke up in 2026. We're fixing it with an AI-first procurement platform for aerospace, defense, and nuclear manufacturing - customers include Machina Labs, Astranis, K2 Space, Castelion, and Antares.

Tufalabs | Zurich, ONSITE | Full-time | 100-200k CHF | https://tufalabs.ai/

You can apply at https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/wikimedia/jobs/8140060?gh_s... - we don’t auto-filter based on AI or anything like that, I will personally see your resume.

Amplify Renewables | Quantitative Researcher | SF / Seattle / US | Hybrid (Remote Possible) | Full-Time | $200k - $375k (all cash) | https://www.amplifyrenewables.com
We're a systematic energy trading company trading virtuals and PTPs across the US. We are hiring a mid-level quantitative researcher; the ideal candidate is process oriented and has a team-first approach. You would work closely together with the founders to build out our expansion in the US with focus on PJM. Our team is ex-D.E. Shaw, Optiver, and Stanford. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing. Compensation is all-cash and paid from company profits, not venture funding.

- 3+ years of experience trading virtuals/PTPs/FTRs on US ISOs (experience with PJM strongly preferred)
- Fluent Python skills (e.g. numpy, matplotlib, pandas, or similar)

Nice to have: experience with LLM-assisted development, experience building quantitative trading algorithms

Apply: email hiring@amplifyrenewables.com with resume + an (optional) short note on a research project you’ve owned end-to-end; we’re interested in how you generated the idea, tested it, communicated to others, and implemented it. Please mention HN.

Apex Space | Multiple Roles | Full-Time | Onsite | Los Angeles, CA | apexspace.com
Apex Space is building standardized spacecraft platforms to enable true mass-production of spacecraft and enabling getting varied and similarly mass-produced payloads to orbit.
We're hiring everything from technicians to product/project managers and supply chain to all sorts of engineers: thermal, mechanical, mechanisms, solar, optical, power systems, electronics/avionics, PCB, embedded software, ground software, devops, and more.
You can apply at https://www.apexspace.com/careers. Or, email me with a resume at maabonnet [at] gmail [dot] com, and I'll see if I can get you a direct referral link so that you get a call with a recruiter ASAP if you're a particularly good fit.
NOTE: Due to federal law, you must be a US person (citizen, green card holder, some other classifications) to work at Apex Space. Please state your residency or citizenship status in your email. If you are not a US person, I can't help you.
Attendi | Machine Learning Engineer | Amsterdam, Netherlands | ONSITE (hybrid) | €6,000 - €7,000 per month | Full-time (80–100%, ~4–5 days/week) | Visa sponsorship + 30% ruling possible Company: Healthcare professionals spend too much valuable time on administrative tasks while they should be using that time delivering great care.
Apply: https://attendi.recruitee.com/o/machine-learning-engineer
Interview process: recruiter call, coding round, HM interview, virtual onsite, decision.

G-Research | https://www.gresearch.com | London UK, on-site | Full-time
G-Research is a leading quant finance company. Big compute farm, interesting problems.
My team is hiring senior engineers to work on our (actually world class) DAG scheduling infra for distributing research and production workloads across the compute farm. What we do is roughly:
* maintain and improve the SDKs for that scheduler in Python, F#, and C#
* add interesting new features to the scheduler itself
* maintain and improve a web backend and UI for quants and engineers to monitor their jobs, increasingly with high availability requirements
* translate bidirectionally at the business level between low-level infra providers and quant/ML researchers
Some functional experience preferred, because our core product is in F#. Lots of dealing with very smart researchers and engineers, with the kind of fun problems arising when you run large ML workloads at scale.

Join us at Snout on our mission to ensure no one ever has to make a health decision for their pet based on the cash in their bank account. Snout plans pay for 100% of routine veterinary care, unlimited visits, and additional member benefits - think pet insurance, that you will actually use every year.
We're growing the team and hiring across the board. Open roles:
Full-Stack Software Engineer - Build and ship every day across our web apps, payments, and data systems, from database to UI.

Our tech stack includes Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Tailwind, and Python. We use both JavaScript and TypeScript heavily. Our team uses LLM-based tooling day to day, but we're fundamentally a human-centric team, and our product itself does not heavily feature AI components.
Apply at https://jobs.gem.com/snoutd
Apply @ link 404
Looks like they have an accidental “d” at the end of the link.
Remove that and you get https://jobs.gem.com/snout
I imagine it was a mitigation measure against botspam slopping it up in Snout's candidate pool.
Or maybe a typo, still, I'd have left the link unstated.
...Internet courtesy is weird these days :/
> a mitigation measure against botspam slopping it up
I find it hard to imagine that would be the case. They already link to the same page from their website without any typos, and they link to their website from the comment here.

InfoHawk | Software Engineer | London, UK or NYC | REMOTE (UK or US), occasional onsite | Full-time | https://www.infohawk.com
Fraud reaches people through ads, cloned brand sites, counterfeit shops and AI-generated video, and it moves faster than any manual review. InfoHawk detects it while it is still running, correlates it across platforms and formats, and surfaces it early enough for our customers to act. We are a small team of engineers plus security, privacy and fraud specialists. Pre-seed, $2.25M led by Moonshots Capital: https://www.infohawk.com/news/2026-06-08-pre-seed-funding-an...
You’d own how data gets in: scrapers and collectors that survive source changes, official APIs where they exist, undocumented endpoints where they don’t. Sources break constantly. Can you figure out how to use AI to spot the change and adapt automatically? Stack: TypeScript, Node, SvelteKit, Postgres, Playwright, heavy AI-assisted development.
We’re looking for ~3-5 years building scraping or integration systems in production, but if you’re a great engineer who doesn’t tick every box we’d still like to hear from you. UK-based for London, US-based for NYC; we cannot sponsor visas. Two of our three founders are engineers, one in each city, and you’ll work with them directly.

Brilliant.org | Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Interactives) | Remote (North America), SF, NYC | Full-time | $180k-$250k | https://brilliant.org

If this sounds like you, please apply!

Quill | Fullstack SWE | Full-time | Remote, PT/ET hours preferred | $150 - 210K USD + equity | https://quill.co/
I’m a co-founder of Quill, a fullstack SDK for adding customer-facing analytics & data features to your app. Backed by YCombinator & top-tier SV-based investors (fundraising not publicly disclosed; happy to share any details when we chat).
Some examples of how customers get value from Quill: • pre-IPO fintech adds custom reporting & data export features to their money movement product. • Series B healthtech is now able to deliver completely custom in-product reports & dashboards to every enterprise customer they onboard. • Series A govtech adds analytics and reporting capabilities within their existing agent/chat product.
Reasons you’d love working with us: • Work with a small, focused, talented team on a highly technical product (by developers for developers). • Funded company in a big market, but still prelaunch with a team size <5 • High level of product ownership with tight feedback loops: the products you build are shipped quickly and get used by real customers immediately.

Shepherd (Series B) | ONSITE | San Francisco, CA
Check out our open roles here: https://shepherdinsurance.com/careers
Our stack includes: Typescript, React, Next.js, GraphQL w/ Apollo, Node.js, Postgres & Redis
– If you have experience building AI agents or multi-step reasoning systems, we’d love to hear from you.
* In the form, be sure to mention that you heard about this opportunity via Hacker News.

Sunspell | Founding Engineer | New York, NY | ONSITE | Full-time | https://sunspell.fm/careers/founding-engineer
- A server-authoritative game engine - seeds, nonces, outcome computation - A double-entry ledger where balance is derived and no client write can change it - Server-side enforcement of every limit and refusal - Payment rails idempotent under duplicated webhooks - Seed custody and the provably-fair lifecycle - An affiliate system with referral attribution and commission payouts

Modash helps brands find, manage, and pay creators - and helps creators earn a living.

DAT | Frontline Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager | Seattle, Portland, Denver | Hybrid 2-3 days/week | Full-time | $192k - $261k
Primary Tech: Node/TS, React, GraphQL, Kafka/redpanda, k8s, AWS, etc
https://careers.dat.com/jobs/?gh_jid=6139594004
Reach out directly at <fname>.<lname>+hn@dat.com; I am the hiring manager for these roles. I'll junk anything that smells of AI.
My profile and background: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kelvin-luu/
Worth noting: I am looking for engineering leaders with prior management experience.
Please normalize 4DWW - Four Day Work Week
Whoever posts this monthly, please include the tag in your description. Employers need to know this is an in-demand feature we want. I for one will not be taking any non-4DWW jobs.
It would also be nice to note if it's 6DWW or 7DWW. I've been told GenZ is very into the these options.
Overture | Founding President/COO, M&A / Investment Banking | REMOTE (US) | Significant equity
Overture is a vertically integrated, AI-native marketplace for SME acquisitions with listing, valuation, deal rooms, SBA pre-qualification, and capital formation end-to-end. Think TurboTax of business exits, aimed at the baby boomer succession wave (millions of businesses, most with no succession plan).
Who we are: founding team with a decade in fintech, previously backed by Pantera Capital. Platform is close to MVP, pilot structured around ~$5M businesses, fundraise timed to our first deal reaching purchase agreement. In advanced discussions with a top Los Angeles law firm to handle sell-side contracts with one partner already as advisor.
The role: you run sell-side execution on our pilot transactions from engagement through close, and you shape how deal mechanics get productized into the platform. True cofounder: strategy, fundraising presence, significant equity.
You: deep sell-side M&A or IB experience, ideally some in lower middle market ($1M–$25M deals). Comfortable running a transaction hands-on with minimal support. At least one of: fundraising experience, a broker or intermediary network you can bring along, or M&A licensing (Series 79/63 or state broker license a strong plus). Builder's temperament.
Deal supply is our current priority.

Stpkr Technologies | Noida, India (Delhi NCR) | ONSITE | Multiple roles
Thanks for your time!

howdy! This is the "Who's hiring?" post, I believe you're looking for the "Who wants to be hired?" post
Proxybase | Backend Systems Engineer (Rust) | Remote, Global | Full-Time
Hi HN, I’m the founder of Proxybase [0].
We’re trying to build something better: Open-source clients: Our GUI [1] and CLI [2] are fully open source, so anyone can inspect and audit what runs on their device.
Asynchronous SOCKS5 routing infrastructure, Daemon and node orchestration, Automated bandwidth-allocation pipelines
Stack: Rust, Tokio, Axum, SOCKS5, Linux systemd daemons, SQLite
Location: Fully remote, async-friendly, flexible time zones Compensation: Competitive salary plus equity.

Aerdos | https://www.aerdos.com/ | SF | Full Time | $200-250K + equity We're building an ai-native intelligence agency to help the USG answer the trickiest national security problems.

[flagged]
It's not typical for founding engineers. It's plausible for a cofounder, with 30%-50% equity.
