been there during Nyepi and would strongly recommend everyone to avoid Bali during this holiday, but overall whole Bali ain't interesting (better go to Lombok, Java or elsewhere anyway)
I was prety much imprisoned in my guesthouse room and I was not even allowed to switch on the light, when I turned on light the owner came to tell me to switch it off, so you are supposed to sit in your room in dark
in general it is supposed to be holiday about ghosts going around island so with empty streets they can't see people, but it's interesting that these ghosts are somehow unable to see policemen or journalists taking photos of empty streets, so much for all people being equal, they should stop this nonsense or tourists should vote with their wallets and don't visit Bali and then they can enjoy their hypocrisy
