Netflix is struggling to get viewers to stick with its shows for more than a season.

That's because if it's any good, Netflix cancels it themselves.

I don't really think this is anything new. While there are one or two decent programmes on there, I have not been inclined to get it at all. Friends have had it for years and are always struggling to find things to watch... Doomscrolling in fact.

I did get Amazon Prime for a while but it ended last month. I'm amazed how little effort they've made to coax me back. A lot of things of no interest to me, and I have to pay twice to get things which do interest me. Some things are free one week and off the next.

I have little interest in television and do not feel dependent on it. I've always preferred books.

I gave up on streaming few years ago. I had both Netflix and Hulu which were fun for a few years but it gradually felt like it got worse. It got to the point where I would catch myself scrolling past one uninteresting show after another for 10-15 minutes then turned the TV off and did something else.

I've considered getting Paramount just for Trek and South Park but at this point I could care less about TV And film.
