    I tried both lf and yazi for a while and they take quite the opposite approach from each other. Yazi has many features included by default, while lf does exactly what a file manager should and can be easily extended for anything more. I would compare it to the choice between Ubuntu and Arch Linux, one has more then I will ever need out of the box, while the other requires some tinkering to become exactly what i need.

    Interesting read. Basically ranger showed what is possible, while the newer tools provide much better performance.
