I guess their product-market fit was always a bit shallow / broad. Airtable is powerful, and you can do so much with it, but it’s never better than the use case specific alternatives. Opaque pricing and feature gating create a lot of friction as well. Also, these „it can do anything, but you have to set it up yourself“ kinds of apps, always have it hard with true bottom up adoption.
