Hello, HN! I am the author of this article. My company, smplkit, created (yet another) cron job as a service and wanted to see how well it stacked up against the establishment. But as we were writing our "puff piece", we thought, "what if, instead of conveniently concluding that smplkit is the best, what if we actually measured them? What if we actually fired these schedulers at some endpoint every hour and measured how 'on time' they are? A real benchmark!" So that is what we did. Spoiler alert! We didn't win.

We've never seen a benchmark like this before and thought it was interesting. Hopefully you will, too.
