Much more interesting though, is the special DDJ issue about C++ successor languages in 1993, already 33 years ago it as a subject relevant enough to warrant a full issue dedicated to it.
I still have stacks of DDJ, C/C++ Users Journal, SysAdmin, and The Perl Journal issues in my library. They are right beside some O'Reilly books from the same era I shant part from anytime soon.

My guess is that you have implemented a C++ standard library "back in the day." If so, I do not have one of your books but do have what I call "the I/O streams black book"[0]. The C++ I/O streams library was very much underrated IMHO.
I recently noticed an Al Williams who is a writer on hackaday [1]. Turns out he was a regular contributor to DDJ. Not to be confused with Al Stevens who wrote the C Programming column for years.

Nah, I am flattered, it was a simple article advocating for Gtkmm and Gnomemm.
My first article published there in 1995. Psyched to see it again. I was a terrible writer.
If you look closely at the author list, you can see that some of the same names still hang out here, which is pretty cool.
It's also fun just to look at the article titles to see what the zeitgeist of the era was for a given time period.
