I see my friends and relatives being in numerous family group chats with the sole purpose of caregiving for someone. It's hard work trying to keep track of ground truth when coordinating care with different family members and other carers, and often scheduling mistakes can derail an entire treatment.
Penny would sit in your group chats and ambiently listen into the conversation, keeping notes and putting it in a feed that anyone in the group can see, without having to scroll through chat history. Penny is also a group member, so you can ask questions about anything, including something that happened too long ago.

Cool idea. Hard problem. To do this properly you need access to all communications of all family members. iMessage and email would be needed for my family to really take advantage of this. That level of access would demand more trust than I'm comfortable giving to a third party like this.
Skylight is making some progress as a family hub of operations. I could see value in something like this in that ecosystem, especially if there was a way to control data sharing.
For example, could this run on my Mac, review all the data, then create a memory/fact feed that I can review and control?
Good point. The prototype is hosted by us on the cloud and as a one-weekend project I'm so happy it's gotten the quick attention! Grateful for your quick feedback :)
Control is definitely in the works, and perhaps it can work as a self-hosted solution (meaning it's open-source) but i think the higher standard is to let more people who aren't technical access to this tech, so that means encryption and anonymization.
