To be honest, I did not know others are using AI to make cookie cutter looking landing pages.
I've used AI to create landing pages. But from the sound of things, probably not the way others do.
1) I use a custom GPT to 'swipe' the appropriate concepts from one of the hundreds of winning b2b or b2c sales letter in my swipe file collection that best matches who I am selling to, and then have the GPT convert my notes and product details and company details and avatar details into a sales offer based on the winning concepts uncovered by swiping the winning offer, _never_ copy the words, not even paraphrase
2) After the GPT gives me the converted copy, I give that content to chatgpt and claude for copy improvements and then have chatgpt give me landing page HTML+CSS from the approved sales copy
3) And then I find successful sites in the industry and tell ai (usually chatgpt first) to emulate what is working behind the scenes for the winning site, and then have AI give me a second HTML+CSS based on the layout and design ideas etc uncovered from studying the winning performers within google/bing for the appropriate target market am also going after. I gave the output to claude to see if chatgpt nailed it or missed the mark
4) If all is well according to both llms after several rounds of back and forth and push backs, I hand edit everything to look and sound closer to what I want it to look and sound like
Nothing cookie cutter about that.
I assumed everyone did something similar.
Oh. I do use wordpress themes extensively. So there are landing page 'templates' with my own graphics and placement of the graphics, not the developer's graphics.
I am not a designer. But I know how to handle basic html and css editing if someone else deals with the initial hassles of building the HTML+CSS. I will never try that myself //shudder//
PS: If anyone wants the GPT let me know. It is free to chatgpt to users. Am not promoting anything. There's nothing in it for me to mention it.
PPS: I'm new here. If is appropriate to post the GPT here let me know. Otherwise I won't.

Landing pages were already heavily templated prior to agents.
I agree, but at least those landing pages resonated trust and actually had attention to detail
> actually had attention to detail
bollocks, most were terrible and often worse than AI
No? They all looked the same and none had information you was looking form
I think many of us who haven’t been consumed by the mass AI psychosis are quite weary of low-effort AI generated websites.
nah. templates and hyper-similar DIY platforms meant that most look the same anyway
AI is just the same shit, but faster
