    I've yet to see my utility bill decrease despite investments in renewables. In fact the past two years I've had 9.6% and 10% rate hikes.

      Depending on lots of things I tend to believe that individual consumers would be the last to see any benefit. Profit will go to the producers first and then the distributors and the consumers will keep consuming.

        That's likely true. The rhetoric is just frustrating (and dishonest) because the downstream consumer never sees the benefit despite funding it.

        And just to clarify, I was careful to compare my $/kWh rate increases to account for varying energy use.
