This seems on-brand for Thiel. His lack of scruples were on bright display, back when he bankrolled the demise of Gizmodo (as an act of revenge for outing him).

They were on display when he firehosed cash to the WH occupant, in trade for dismantling the safeguards protecting US's most sensitive data and allowing him unprecedented access.

And the thing about unethical actors is they tend to see evil everywhere, except what is inside themselves. In 2025, Thiel declared the Pope is the Anticrist. https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/peter-thiel-antichrist-remarks-pop...

I'm glad the Pope doesn't get shaken by these sorts of claims. The Pope is the single least corruptible person on earth. Every politician has a price, but the Pope already has a kingdom and anything he could ask for. If the Chinese "win" the artificial intelligence race, will it make a difference if they've sacrificed their humanity?

The current specific Pope is blessed to be "the single least corruptible person on earth" in your own opinion?

The position of Pope itself is certainly no guarantee of ethical behaviour, as three time Pope Benedict IX and byword for corruption Pope Alexander VI aka Rodrigo Borgia (along with seven or eight other Popes) demonstrate.

Disclaimer: I didn’t post this out of support for Thiel but more just because it is weird a tech titan is making such claims.

All of these "tech titans" are psychiatric cases, and all seem to be heavy drug addicts. In any other industry they'd be fired and probably put behind bars for their behaivour.

But for some reason these guys are literally trying to rewrite society at a fundamental level and everyone is cool with it.

In the last few years I keep seeing interviews with these guys and they are obviously on speed. Too much speed. I’ve seen a tweaker before.

Not gonna name names but look them up. It’s not hard to tell.

Alex Karp is obviously a heavy cocaine user. Musk is high on Ket all the time. There's nothing wrong with naming names.

If you’d ever seen the bubble of sycophants that insulate this particular Dr. Evil wannabe from reality, you’d know it’s not that weird.

It's hard to take anyone who would write this article very seriously:

Dr. Evil!! That's hysterical (and amazingly fitting)

        • yawpitch 5 hours ago

I’ve had the “pleasure” to get to sit fifteen feet from the guy, right behind his version of Number Two, and listened to his monologuing. I’ve watched his round table of minions nodding. The only things that would have made it more fitting would be if he’d been stroking a hairless cat and snarling at Verne Troyer.

Once you’ve seen him in real life it’ll never leave you.

It's a sad situation that the world allowed these psychos to gain up much wealth/influence to manipulate the masses with their weird opinions and ideas.

Peter Thiel amuses me, the man is going for the full-length ride on the cannonball and is 200% committed.

Wait until he finds out that the space pope is a reptile.

Men like Thiel have shown up in history over and over again, we all know how it ends. Thiel is not worth anyone’s attention, really.

Laugh at the man if you see him, call him an idiot, and go on with your day.

Thiel will learn the hard way that power is a fragile concept and no human has managed to hold onto it forever. He can drink longevity llamapiss lemonade each day, won’t change a thing.

Why does Thiel literally look like Frankenstein's monster? Did those blood boy transfusions not help?

Hey, Why not? If the "everything is Nazi" produced some sort of backlash, the "everything is Communist" might do the same.
