Unable to locate anything noting alternatives. aka looping tape between stick lines & using arc length refaction index / distance between tape kinks to simplify read back[0]. ak tape bubble memory[1]. Don't have to worry about dimishing returns on adhesive strength. Water activated adhesive would make for simplified erase.
