So... a lonely cloud just after sunset? This is always the coolest thing to see when the sun under the horizon illuminates things at high altitude. It happens a lot with rocket launches like this:

That shape seems to be implied to be a ‘circle’ or ‘sphere’, although I can imagine a Triangle or Square object being equally scary.

“residents, including this CBC reporter, reported seeing a large, white shape slowly move across the horizon before disappearing from view.”

Actually, now it just sounds like they’re talking about a cloud…

Yeah, but it's a cool looking cloud. I think the cloud in the video was pretty neat.

Remember those new jersey drones that were all commercial planes?

I think there actually were drones (even if most reports were aircraft), but that they weren't nefarious (my theory is a commercial LIDAR mapping project) based on the fact that the sitings dropped precipitously when flight restrictions were declared.

Sunrise/sunset. Cloud is still in sunlight. Not a ufo. Just an interesting cloud getting a moment in the spotlight.
