“The conception before was that, when it came to nucleosomes, genes were either turned on or off, but we’re finding it’s more like a volume dial,”

this is not a new paradigm. this was apparent in the late 80s.

modulation of DNA / nucleosomal binding affinity, is a known epigenetic mechanism for the last 35 years.

DNA expressivity is not digital, its result of many affinity based interactions over time contributing to a summary result in the form of conformational change or rate of reaction.

Agreed. This seems like an "institute publishing" re-hash purely for marketing purposes. I see nothing novel in the paper.

      > “Our findings suggest that the genome is far more dynamic and accessible than the scientific community realized,” Ramani says.

My findings suggest that "AI researchers" generally ignore all existing discoveries so they can make outlandish claims about the novelty of their work.

Also renaming established concepts, for novelty.

After reading that amazing title, I skimmed the whole article several times looking for the part about DNA existing outside the cells.

So you're telling me that cells use an attention system for DNA?

Instructions unclear. Created eugenics company instead.
