    Why would they reuse the 84 name??? Almost 2 decades ago I had the TI-84+ SE, I had friends with the TI-83 as well (slower and older, we had to write our TI-Basic games to use different timings based on the device).

    Why not go to a higher number? Did TI look at USB naming and say “hold my beer”?
