    Mesocarb is weird because it's one of the most dopamine-selective stimulants ever developed as a drug. It hits the dopamine transporter (DAT) hard while sparing norepinephrine and serotonin much more than amphetamine-type stimulants usually do. It's more dopamine-selective than cocaine, too, and by a mile.

    ...That may make it worth looking at in the West, clinically, as drugs that are selective tend to be sharper tools -- whereas drugs that hit many targets are usually called "dirty," regardless of their effect -- but I'm not convinced it's something you want to hand out to infantrymen!
