    We had issues in Costco romaine lettuce every year. I still eat salads containing it occasionally but I’d microwave the hell out of it.

      At the energy you'd need to reach to sterilise lettuce in a microwave, you've cooked off a lot of its nutrition. If you aren't reaching those temperatures, you're not improving on simply washing your greens.
