    Wallace also knew this firsthand. He suffered intensely from depression. His inability to find a suitable treatment led to his suicide in 2008.

    no this is wrong. he went off his meds, and then his meds stopped working. this shows the dangers of stopping medication, if anything.

    Right the fuck on man. I'm sometimes skeptical of the fanboyism that surrounds Wallace but I like his books as being, "a whole lot of fun." The bad guys have summoned a monster and only, "a more humane approach" can slay the bastard.

    Alan Kay tried to give us something better. Neil Postman warned us too. The greats had such high ambitions for the internet and they to they took the Licklider Dream and turned it into the Liderlicking Nightmare. We'll give these fuckers what-for, won't we?
