    I must admit that only times I ever clicked on Reddit ads, it was by mistake in the (terrible) mobile app...

      That might not be a mistake on Reddit's part.

      My local newspaper has a horrible website. Things move around continually as the page renders, and it is very easy to accidentally click an ad. I'm sure that isn't an accident.

    TLDR:

    * Reddit Ads are relatively easy to set up and start getting clicks.

    * The Reddit numbers reports for clicks and conversions are dubious.

    * Engagement from Reddit users is miserable.
