I rather enjoy previews, though not a full half-hour of them.
At least it's not ads. There are ads before start time. I'll even tolerate a "go get a soda" ad. But I can consider a preview to be entertainment, and an ad is clearly not.
I'm surprised that they want to devote so much time to it. I guess it makes sense on week nights, when you really only get in two or three screenings a night. But on weekends, you could squeeze in a whole extra screening if you reduced the previews.
