I don't see the problem. Trump promised shit - and he's delivering! It's what the people wanted, right?

I would agree as an outsider (German/European). I am more worried about other things: globally, about the US role on climate change (and the related global trend) and a foreseeable irreversible supreme court majority for the next 30 years or so, that will make so much harder for Americans to 'learn' if this was all just a mistake. I'd wish that I wouldn't even have to care as someone not living in the US.

In all seriousness, the world is going to change as a result of Trump and I don't think Americans (I'm an American) are going to like it. Western Europe has put a lot of faith in America being a good partner and America is about to file for divorce. The ramifications of that will be far-reaching, and, I think, position China to be the new global leader. Your guess is as good as mine as to what America is going to do as she loses her preeminence.

As far as climate change - forget about it. You can count on America doubling down on CO2 production. The science denying, drill baby drill gang are now in power and there's a lot of money to be made. They only care about next quarter; they have no concern for the next century.

There's a saying - it's darkest before the dawn. I'm afraid things are going to get a whole lot darker before we see daybreak.

          What a joke.

Western Europe is going to let China lead them because they hate Trump? This is just lefty fan fiction. Trump just wants these countries to participate as partner, we aren't Europe's parent. Trump isn't an isolationist, you're being ridiculous.

Also, the US has decreased CO2 emissions since 2000, including during Trump's first term. Meanwhile China, India, etc, have dramatically increased CO2 production.

95% of plastic comes from 10 rivers, nearly all of them are in China, India. https://bigthink.com/strange-maps/these-10-rivers-carry-95-o...

This narrative that the US is some big polluter is again just something lefties want to believe. The US is at the forefront of technology, including clean energy.

But they'll be angry, blame the democrats, AND believe it.

      It's a no win situation.
