One thing, that a lot of people get wrong, is the first amendment does not apply to you the citizen. it is a directive to the government, and I quote.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

My point being the first amendment to the us constitution has no application to a companies communication platform. (unless the federal government ran a communication platform). There is nothing preventing a company from creating their own free speech policy but that is it's own independent thing.

      Not really,

We already hold corporations accountable for discrimination on religion and banning peaceful assembly. Nothing is absolute as one written phrase, that's why the law has references to case rulings and precedent. Armchair lawyers on multiple sides cant agree, but a blog post claims they are the only correct ones.

So First Amendment rights for corporate websites overrule citizens, interesting take.

And corporations have to uphold other constitutional rights, why not citizens first amendment too.
