    No one would use it. The type of people who would use Tiktok would not care at all about decentralization.

    Also, people should recognize that Tiktok is far more than just a short-form video app now. It's a huge eCommerce platform, live stream platform, and search engine.

      It’s okay if loops doesn’t become the next TikTok. Not every project needs to take over the world. Alternatives are good.

        The problem with this is that Tiktok's algorithm works because it has enough content to tailor to people's likes.

    The success of TikTok was to use an interest graph rather than a social graph. The article doesn’t suggest Loops would use a interest graph but does mention a volunteer moderation of content: which gives the impression it wouldn’t scale to unlimited content about unique interest categories.
