Since I couldn't easily find one single link to the repo in that website, some url surgery to help others: https://github.com/peazip/PeaZip/releases/tag/10.0.0

I'm guessing the rampant number of "files added by upload" means their development process is not in git (e.g. https://github.com/peazip/PeaZip/compare/10.0.0...sources )

    > PeaZip is written in FreePascal compiler, a powerful Open Source cross-platform programming language highly compatible with Delphi and ObjectPascal, and Lazarus ide IDE is required to compile, build, and edit the source code.

Cool. Not many active Pascal projects out there anymore.

Is there an elevator pitch why PeaZip is better than 7zip?

Can 7zip finally automatically open the target folder after unzipping to a directory? This feature is strangely absent from a lot of unzipping programs, except PeaZip and WinRAR (from those I tried).

PeaZip beats 7zip by 3.4s in drag and drop extraction speed.

      > 7-Zip, Bandizip and Winrar are tightly packed around very similar performances of 17 seconds, while PeaZip fast drag and drop implementation shows a clear performance advantage in this scenario completing the extraction in 13,6 seconds. WinZip provides an intermediate performance at 15,5 seconds.

I used 7Zip for years but recently moved to using Windows 11’s native 7z support. Any reason I should move back to 3rd party and install Peazip?

Native Windows one still doesn't support password protected 7z archives.

Sorry but in 2024 I am offended by a site making no effort at mobile design.
