But Elon says Twitter (also known as X) has never been more alive and engaging in its history... This makes me wonder if advertisers are choosing other platforms or if they're being conservative with their ad budgets

Anecdote, but as a twitter user I see plenty of engaging conversations (and a lot of bots too, unfortunately). The quality of ads is absolutely horrible though.

X is basically 4chan now ... except with real government entities and media organizations on top of it which makes it pretty weird.

not exactly a lucrative or big market, oh and Tesla stock up 22%. so Elon made back his twitter purchase many times already on that

Did you just say India isn’t a big market? How in the world do you rationalize that?! It’s one of the largest populations in the world in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.

Probably because most of the country is in poverty.

        > The company, which had posted revenue of $24.7 million in the previous fiscal year

$25m for a company like twitter is nothing.

"Musk previously identified India as a key market for Twitter". Completely negates your point and shows how far Twitter is fallen behind.

The reason for buying X was to buy the election for Trump
