Tried reading the readme and linked forum, still not quite clear... what is this? I'm guessing a newly-manufactured retro x86 PC, or possibly the firmware for one? Or is this about the hardware itself? Actually looking again I see a kicad directory so probably the hardware itself.

    Edit:

Clicking through to https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=93480 gives this line:

    > Update 2/7/2024: Github page updated with complete KiCad project (schematics, layout, gerbers).

and clicking from there to https://retrodreams.ca/ to https://retrodreams.ca/products/itx-llama-mainboard yields

    > Please note that you will need the Vortex86 SOM and an AGP card to make use of this motherboard, we offer the SOM as a separate purchase for a discounted price and recommend that you include it in your order before checking out.

    > Introducing the ITX-Llama, a retro-inspired true x86 motherboard designed for those passionate about late-DOS and early Windows 98 systems. Built using the powerful and versatile Vortex86EX system-on-module (SOM), the ITX-Llama boasts a P6 (Pentium Pro/II/III)-compatible CPU running at 100-500 MHz, with 128 MB of LPDDR3 RAM and an 8 MB ROM. This compact system delivers performance comparable to a Pentium 233, making it ideal for vintage applications and gaming.

So I now believe that this is some form of source code for just the motherboard in a retro-PC system. I don't see any license at all so it might be Source Available and not Open Source, though without any license even that's kinda unclear. Actually there appear to be some binaries in the github repo without source so not even that unless I missed something. Still, the motherboard and system it's part of is neat.

I haven't checked the link but my guess is that the binaries are rloew's drivers or tools.

Concur. Life is too short to register for a forum just to point out that a Github repo needs a name, a description, a summary, and a section that explains "WTF is this and why should I care?"

Without that... yeah, no, life's too short.

Given Llama is currently heavily associated with LLM, especially on this site, and Vortex sounds very AI this could do with a longer title.
